Avoid Huge Sides Dishes When Dieting
When you are serious about losing weight, there are quite many things you must be aware of. Otherwise you will just be wasting your time and effort, and as a result you will be frustrated in the end, because you don’t see any progress with your diet.
One thing among others that you need to be aware of is the type of side dishes you eat with your main dish.
Whether you eat in a restaurant, at friends or at home, try to pay attention to the following:
It is not helpful and supportive to your diet, if you choose rice or pasta as a side dish. Often restaurants serve these side dishes in huge portions, and if you eat it all because you don’t want to “waste food”, it will make you gain a lot of weight for sure. It is much better if you chose vegetables as a side dish instead. And as a general rule, natural is better and healthier than fried or otherwise processed.
I also recommend you do not eat a dessert, if you are eating out in a restaurant. Eating until you are completely full is not only unhealthy, it also adds weight to your body. If the dessert comes as part of a menu and your therefore do not want to waste it, take it home and eat it later. Remember, you should not eat “until you feel totally full”. You should stop when you do not feel completely full.
So let me state it again: Watch out for the type of side dish you choose – often it might be best to eat none at all.
It is important to choose the right side dish – if you must have one at all. Side dishes can easily prevent you from succeeding with your diet. It’s better to avoid them.
